Welcome to our Neighbourhood Watch

Silverthorne Close is a very quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of the town centre of Stalybridge. We are a small friendly community and would encourage any new or existing residents to come and join our scheme.

Membership News

What a great response! Out of the 26 properties in Silverthorne Close and 1 from Glenville Walk, 26 households have now signed up to the scheme.

New Lamp Post Signs

Tameside Council have supplied NHW signs. These are now on display on each lamp post throughout Silverthorne Close.

Free Security Packs from Tamside Council

All scheme members should now have received a host of free security items as supplied to us by Tameside Council. Special thanks goes out to Vanessa Rothwell (Tameside's Partnership Manager) for supplying us with the items.

Tameside MBC & GMP offer us support

The Council & Police are looking at ways that they can support us. See the 'News' page for more information.

Cllr David Sweeton updates us

See the 'News' page for details of what actions have been taken and what plans are now in place to deal with Youths that cause trouble in our community.

National Registration

Our scheme is now registered with the National Network Neighbourhood Watch Association. https://www.ourwatch.org.uk/

Signs & Stickers

The Neighbourhood Watch Scheme area co-ordinator for Greater Manchester has provided us with a Window Sticker for each household. Please contact Jeff or Steve if you have not received your Window Sticker.
